Skate Team News - Go Skate Day
Posted 07/05/2007 by Vans UK
Vans Go Skateboarding day in Brighton was a huge success with tons of people turning up and the rain staying away. The highlight of the day was a comedy game of S.K.A.T.E with about 50 entrants and a high ollie comp. Danny Wainwright came all the way from Bristol to show how it's done. Vans riders James Gardner, Ben Grove, Ben Nordberg and local boy Aaron Revell were also in attendance along with late arrival Franklin Stephens. The evenings festivities were fairly frantic as Ben Nordberg had just had his 18th Birthday the day before and spent the evening on the side of the motorway as the car ran out of petrol!

After a day of relaxing day in Brighton doing some filming we rolled over to Revolution Skatepark for a demo/barbecue and to christen their new outdoor ramps. We took on fresh legs in the shape of Aaron Sweeney, Kev the Plasterer and Gorgeous Dave for the day. About 200 kids showed up and were rewarded with a fine display of tech skills from James Gardner, Nordberg and Gorgeous and some silly gnarliness from The Plasterer and Sweeney , something for everyone. Kids were stoked on a load of free stuff and we were stoked on barbecue food and a night out on the town. Cheers to all at Revolution for putting up with us, for more pics and info on the park check out www.revolutionskatepark.co.uk
