Let It Ride Update

The Vans 'Let It Ride' tour comprises of four teams (UK, France, Germany and a European collective) and everything kicks off on the 27th May. Here’s an update on what’s going to be happening:
THE TOUR
After getting together for a legendary Vans BBQ in Montpellier, the teams will be warmed up and raring to head out on their tour. The final destination is the same for each of them but the route they take is the individual and important part.
Team Germany will cover as much of their mother land as possible and throw in a visit to Denmark for good measure to check out some unvisited locations. Team UK will stay in France and explore some new streets spots to claim as their own and Team France’s aim is to discover some unexplored territory on their home turf. Finally Team Europe will be heading to a warmer climate travelling south to check out the scene in Spain.
THE VIDEO & PHOTO COMPETITION
Nine days later they will be reunited on June 4th in Belgium, where the videographers will have 1 day to edit the footage gained during the tour and pack it into a 5 min long movie. Those four edits will be entered into the video contest premiering on June 6th at the Alcatraz youth club at 10pm where the crowd will get their chance to vote for their favourite.
Aside from the video contest there will be the photo exhibition showcasing 12 of the best shots from of the tour, which as with the movies, will give a different perspective from each team’s trip. Here the crowd can vote for their favourite two pictures.
THE EVENT
Onto the final contest on June 6th, Vans Let it Ride has created a big buzz on the Belgium scene and the bowl in Kortrijk, known for its crazy lines and unique options, is waiting to be ridden. This is an open comp for anyone to enter and those who do will be in with the chance of claiming a slice of the 10,000 euro prize purse. Not only that, but the Shark Sessions will take place with the finals and one person who shows the best bowl riding skills will be crowned Pool Shark Champion. 10.00-14.00 Registration and Open practice
