In a band? Fancy opening the Vans Off The Wall stage at the Relentless Boardmasters, in association with Vans music festival this August? Would you like to see your band's name up there alongside the likes of The Streets, Cyprus Hill, Brakes, Calvin Harris, Ghost Of A Thousand, Brakes, Pulled Apart By Horses, Super Furry Animals, Noisettes and more? Vans and Clash magazine are looking for two bands to open the Vans Off The Wall stage at this year's event. Taking place on 7th and 8th August, two bands will have the chance to play on either the Friday or Saturday at the south-west's biggest surf, skate and music festival.
As a bonus, the winning bands will receive two custom guitars and a six-month supply of strings from Ernie Ball
To be considered for these prime festival slots, all you need to do is e-mail Clash with a few details of your band and a MySpace link. Every week, four favourites will be selected to go through to a final clutch of bands, from which a final four will be picked to perform at a special 'play-off' at the Garage, London, in mid-July. This is where you get involved, you're all invited to the live play off and it's up to you who wins.
Each person entering the venue will be given a voting sheet and after the last band has played, will be invited to mark their sheet and place into the ballot box to decide which band will open the Vans Off the Wall stage at the Relentless Boardmasters, in association with Vans Music festival.
