Join us at the Vans Beach Clean Up at Relentless Boardmasters

Vans has supported eco initiatives previously with the introduction of five eco considered models constructed using recycled PET materials. Vans are now looking outwards as to how they can contribute to the efforts, immersing themselves further in the cause for a cleaner planet.
This year at Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans, we are taking one step further to ensure the endurance of one of our most beloved sports - surfing. Having teamed up with the Surfrider Foundation, Vans will be looking to you to get involved in a live, on site recycling project known as Trash To Art. Beginning with the Vans Beach Clean Up Program, the results of which will be used to create a sculpture under the tutelage of esteemed artist Anne Tilby.
This is a project that is open to anyone that wants to make a difference and help Vans demonstrate how easy waste can be used constructively and creatively. We look forward to welcoming all and any to get involved and help create something very special. There are a few simple steps to take to register your interest which are outlined below.
Head along to the Vans promotional tent on the Headland, Newquay- Vans Beach Clean Up. Pre-register names to take part. Each person gets a Vans beach clean kit (gloves, logo bin bag) and a free t-shirt for taking part. Return the recycling to our Trash to Art area where Anne Tilby will be creating a special sculpture with the recycling. Anne has a background in theatre and film production working on projects such as Alice Through the Looking glass, Father Ted and Julian Clary’s world tour. She also runs a workshop called Trash Factory. Vans Beach Clean up starts on 4th, and the sculpture will be completed by 7th.
