“I’m Alessio Rotulo, an illustrator based in Milan, I like to draw fun and weird stuff. After high school, I was very confused so I started to do a lot of different jobs. After three years I decided to study graphic design and I started working in some advertising agency then I decided to focus my attention in illustration and suddenly I was not confused anymore! Now I work as a freelance illustrator and I collaborate with advertising agency and brands.”

A mix of comics and graphic design.
WHAT DOES “OFF THE WALL” MEAN TO YOU?
It is when you do something in your own way and you feel good with yourself.

Vans Old Skools in black.
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE REACTIONS TO YOUR WORK?
During a live painting a girl took a look at some of my prints and laughed a lot. She had a wonderful smile but I didn't ask for her number — it was a big mistake!
IF YOU COULD DO A COLLABORATIVE PIECE WITH ANY ARTIST, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD IT BE?
There are a lots of artists living and dead that I'd like to meet and say thank you for all the inspiration! But for a collaborative piece I'd like to choose an artist that does something very different from me, maybe a photorealistic artist… I'd be very interested in the mix of two styles!
WHAT ARE SOME FAVORITE WORKS YOU’VE CREATED?
A crazy tiger that says, "you need to be crazy to survive in this jungle". Thinking about something and turning it into an illustration is what I love to do.
WHAT THINGS DO YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR 2017/2018?
I love doing things, I love to be busy but I hate planning. I just know that I want to do a lot of drawings!
