UltraRange VR3 Shoes
A new addition to the Vans Family, the UltraRange VR3 is another small step towards a larger goal of producing more sustainable footwear. This season we have re-thought, re-engineered and rebuilt every little bit of the UltraRange to make it more sustainable. This includes an EcoCush™ midsole made of at least 50% biobased foam derived from sugarcane, our all-new EcoRubber™ compound made with responsibly sourced natural rubber, obtained from suppliers who follow proven ethical practices to minimize harm and have positive benefit on the social ecosystems, and a one piece nylon knit upper made from a blend of 50% organic cotton, 34% recycled PET material, 14% recycled nylon, and 2% spandex. The UltraRange VR3 is the manifestation of an idea: that it is not where we are going, but how we get there.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
• Upper: One piece knit upper made with 50% organic cotton/34% recycled PET/14% recycled nylon/2% spandex. Upper is designed to reduce waste in production compared to Vans’ traditional cut and sew uppers.
• Upper Leather: Sourced from a tannery rated Gold or Silver for environmental responsibility by the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder auditing group.
• Midsole: EcoCush™ - This new midsole is made using at least 50% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plant-based sources per ASTM D6866-16 testing standard.
• Outsole: EcoRubber™ - All new rubber compound made with responsibly sourced natural rubber instead of petroleum derived synthetic rubber. This new rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans has been known for since ’66.

To earn the VR3 Checkerboard globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made up of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials.
